We believe it’s a company’s employees that really make it stand out from the crowd, so we do all we can to make OCC a rewarding, fun and challenging place to work.

Each year, you are given a generous time and money budget to spend on training. Attend conferences, go to workshops, take some time to pursue a personal project or try out a technology – your choice.

Show & tells

Regular afternoon show & tell sessions give employees a chance to talk about projects they’re working on or technologies they’ve been using. These are followed by Q&A and lively discussion over cake.

Lunch out

Every other week we go out for lunch somewhere in Oxford City Centre – paid for by us, for everyone who works here – we try somewhere different each time.

Social events

Every month we like to try and arrange a social event for everyone here. It could be a trip to the cinema or theatre, a quiz night, cocktail making or punting along the Cherwell.

Lunchtime mini-conferences

One day a week, we select a conference video to watch and discuss over lunch. Topics range through software development and user experience design to business and marketing.

Working hours

We work 37.5 hours a week. Our core hours are 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm.

Bike scheme

Once you’ve been here a while, we’ll give you a substantial amount towards a bike of your choice. It’s not the bike to work scheme – no need to pay it back.

Find a book you’re interested in and we’ll get it for you if at least one other person is interested.

Every new employee is assigned a mentor, usually someone who’s been here for a while. They’re there to chat with, ask questions, help out with problems and make sure you’re happy.

Fresh fruit

Every week we have a delivery of fresh fruit to help yourself to.

VDU use

We contribute towards the costs of eye examinations and glasses for VDU users

Income protection and life assurance

Company schemes so that you have security should you fall ill.

More about why you should work with us

Central Oxford

Our office is right in the city centre, fantastic for walking or biking to work, and handy for buses too. If you take the train in, the station is only a couple of minutes walk.

Not too big, not too small

We’re big enough to take on large-scale, challenging projects but small enough to know everyone’s name – it’s a great place to be!

OCC is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.

Please note that due to the nature of our work with local government clients, we request a DBS (formerly CRB) check as part of our recruitment process.
