Spring
Portsmouth became the 39th SPOCC client and Hertfordshire
purchased Controcc - Children's Services module.
Two Controcc clients, Rochdale and Hartlepool, have gone from
kick-off to live in about 8 weeks. A really fast turn around time
and testimony to the increasing stability and performance of the
product as well as our growing expertise in migrating LAs to
Controcc.
Sales
- Sales of PSOCC (OCC's Provider System) have risen dramatically with major sales to 3 providers with 1000 users amongst them. The initiatives with these providers gives us an opportunity to develop further PSOCC's features and functionality. The OCC-hosted site now has 14 Providers working with a diverse range of client groups from Mental Disabilities, Drug and Alcohol problems to Frail & Elderly. These providers operate throughout England from Chester to Margate. Our largest user retains details and support plans for approximately 1600 clients.
- Barnsley Council are the 38th local authority to purchase SPOCC, our award-winning Supporting People system, Harrow the 37th. Barnsley have also adopted Charging and CRAG modules as well as the Payments and Contracts modules.
- Hartlepool Council have purchased Controcc to support their roll-out of Individual Budgets (the financial aspect of Self Directed Support). OCC are developing tools to support Self Directed Support in conjunction with this.
- Rochdale Council has bought our Controcc CRAG Charging and Payments module.
- Wakefield Council is rolling out SP-Provider to all its Providers.
2007
35th LA purchases SPOCC!
Hertfordshire is the 35th LA to purchase SPOCC from Oxford Computer Consultants.
A new director for OCC!
Nick Warner, a Senior Project Manager at OCC for 5 years, was promoted to director in the summer. For more about Nick see People.
OCC sponsors the Oxfordshire Young Enterprise Scheme
In June, John Boyle and Kaz Librowski, OCC's co-founding directors, judged the Oxfordshire final. Fitzharry's School, Abingdon, deservedly won and they have reached the national final. Very well done to them! Young Enterprise is a great forum for innovation and expertise.
Networking lunch Science and Enterprise Festival March 2007
OCC sponsored a networking lunch at the Science and Enterprise Festival. We demonstrated our walking aid for people with Parkinson's Disease which invited much interest to viewers of the exhibition.
The Oxfordshire Economic Obervatory gave a preview of the new industry report "Enterprise and Innovation: The Oxfordshire Model". Gillian Pearson, The Oxford Trust's Chief Executive, lead a lively and amusing debate with the lunchtime guests about the key outcomes of the report in the style of "Have I Got News for You?".

Local Government and OCC - December
OCC has developed its own local government website. OCC's Local Government team develops products and provides services that help social services and supporting people contracts teams, and providers of the client support services. Supporting People - OCC (SPOCC) - October
31 LAs have now purchased SPOCC - Lancashire is the 31st Authority; Essex County Council was the 30th. OCC installed SPOCC for Essex and had the complex task of migrating data from another site to SPOCC.
Controcc - July
OCC has developed a new Contracts Management System, Controcc (.pdf), which has been purchased by 5 LAs - Rochdale, Slough, Thurrock, Milton Keynes and East Sussex.
Oxford Computer Consultants wins Government Listing - June
Oxford Computer Consultants Ltd (OCC) has become one of the few SMEs to have won a contract to supply two IT Consultancy Services ( Application Development and e-Business) to the public sector under OGCbuying.solutions' Catalist Framework Agreement. OCC also became a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in the same month.
SP-Provider - February
The new SP-Provider System manages all adminstrative tasks, performance workbooks and JCSHR client records for SP work. It interfaces directly with the SPOCC system used by LAs.
ParkWalker (called INDIGO in Europe) - January
OCC's award-winning virtual reality glasses, marketed as INDIGO in Europe, are an assistive device for people with Parkinson's Disease. They are undergoing a 2 year clinical trial at the Institute of Neurology, London.
