OCC was asked to design a new software system with a particularly clear user interface (UI) for this client. The software features a user interface that is perfectly suited to its application. Given the positioning and small size of the screen, clarity was a priority in the design of the interface.The new interface proved highly successful.
After we implemented this quality control software we provided technical support, helped them with the day-to-day operation of their system and with the development of an improved software strategy.
Software for robots to test quality control
The multi-threaded, MFC-based software is designed to control robots testing the quality and integrity of cans. The robots sample the cans as they are produced, carry out a variety of controls (such as of external paint, internal lacquering, etc) and log the results on an Access database. From here, text reports, showing results of all checks carried out, can be generated for individual work orders.
Multiple quality control test configurations are possible. A typical sample is of ten cans in every 5,000 but the robots are capable of taking samples as frequently, infrequently or randomly as the operator wishes.
