OCC were chosen to produce PROMACE Explorer and its successor Exaquantam Explorer for Yokogawa Marex because of its expertise in embedding ActiveX components into graphical displays of various monitoring systems. This suite of software applications provides extensive reporting and analysis facilities for industrial chemical plants.
The graphs were then configured so that information can be pulled from a variety of different sources. The component-based platform allows the system to monitor trends, report processes in real time and provide reports using historical and archived data.
Monitoring technology improves efficiency in process control
The application of ActiveX technology means that PROMACE Explorer and Exaquantum/Explorer can be used to monitor changes in continuous and batch processes in any industrial situation. The technology enables plant operators to monitor and maintain product quality and has improved overall plant efficiency.
