OCC developed an analytical software system, for the Signal Group's Air Quality Monitoring (AQM) system, to work in conjunction with existing hardware. The AQM hardware features an automated dialler, which calls AQM stations remotely around the UK and collects air quality data from those sites.
Royal Mail asked OCC to develop a national tactical marketing database solution. The database was to have a clear and easy-to-use interface as well as be capable of holding and intergrating all information relating to marketing activities.
The British Heart Foundation asked OCC to create a database providing easy and reliable access to data which is fundamental to their work in matching people to tasks. The database included key features such as a reference library on all topics related to coronary heart disease and a list of specialists in heart disease related fields.
OCC designed a database for Plus Design to assist with their inventory management and ordering. This database allowed the user to spot great saving opportunities for bulk buying of supplies and pass the cost saving on to customers. The product was a sucess and is estimated to be saving Plus Design an average of 20% on all stock purchases.
The OCC LiveLoad application calculates the physical deformation on an overhead power line caused by suspending a maintenance trolley containing an engineer on the cable. Working on live cables from a trolley placed by helicopter will allow the National Grid Maintenance Delivery team to achieve significant efficiency savings.
