OCC is working closely with Cognisco, a top performance assessment and training provider based at Cranfield Innovation Centre, to develop programmes that will assess and train staff in a variety of tasks.

Engineers and psychologists from Cognisco asked OCC to develop a suite of online assessment tools for employers to assess staff training needs.  In 2006, Cognisco are continuing to enjoy growth and to attract major clients.

Employees answer questions on screen and the system (Cognisco Series 300) identifies gaps in their knowledge.  The system then analyses the “missing links” and provides a personalised e-learning programme to bring them up to the required standard.  Trainees receive immediate feedback and managers use the results to monitor and improve staff performance.

OCC has provided advanced technology to score, measure and store the results.  Although the programme requires complex scientific formulae to analyse and score the assessments, the actual tests and e-learning features have been designed in close collaboration with Cognisco’s psychologists to ensure they are easy to understand and manage.
