Yokogawa Marex, a subsidiary of Yokogawa, a Japanese multinational corporation, manufacture integrated information systems for use in a variety of process control industries.

OCC worked with the company to produce PROMACE Explorer and its successor Exaquantam/Explorer. This suite of software applications provide extensive reporting and analysis facilities for industrial chemical plants. OCC was chosen for its team's expertise in embedding ActiveX components into the graphical displays of the organisation’s various monitoring systems.

The graphics were then configured so that information can be pulled from a variety of different sources. The component-based platform allows the system to monitor trends, report processes in real time and provide reports using historical and archived data.

The application of ActiveX technology means that PROMACE Explorer and Exaquantum/Explorer can be used to monitor changes in continuous and batch processes in any industrial situation. The technology enables plant operators to monitor and maintain product quality and has improved overall plant effciency.
